A Nautical Themed Nursery For Our Baby Boy

Coming up with a nursery theme is a big decision. There are so many directions you can take your theme. Some go for a more adult sophisticated look while others like to bring in a little bit of whimsical styling to the decor. My husband and I went back and forth on a few ideas and landed on a nautical themed nursery. We wanted some fun sea creature elements without going too overboard on the design.

I’m not going to lie. There were times designing this space brought on a lot of frustration for me. With working full time I didn’t really get to start piecing things together until I started maternity leave a few weeks before my due date. From items being on back order, decor being out of stock, and overall decisions to be made there were some moments I had to walk away from the space and come back another day with a fresh new perspective. Overall I love how Noah’s nursery turned out and it has quickly become one of my favorite rooms in the house. I am so excited to share our nursery reveal post today!

What a beautiful nursery! I did nautical theme for my son as well. My husband is a US Navy veteran, so we added different sailor elements and water elements to the nursery. I loved it!
